Placed in the Callosa's mountain, in Redován (Alicante), Redovan Ferrata is one of the most emotional and beautiful one from Valencia and Spain. Since its construction in 2018 by Vía Libre and its promotion by the Redován City Council, it has become a popular destination for lovers of climbing and adventure.​

The Redován via ferrata is for all levels, as it includes two different sections of difficulty (easy and difficult) so that anyone with or without experience can enjoy this activity.

🟠 Sporty Sector (K4/K5)

For the more experienced, this section presents technical and emotional challenges. Highlights are the famous hinge step, suspended 90 meters above the ground, which offers a unique experience. The tour includes elements such as hanging bridges and an inverted staircase, providing an unforgettable adventure.

🟢 Family Sector (K2)

Ideal for beginners and families, this stretch offers a safe and fun experience. With an equipped length of 280 meters and a difference in height of 74 meters, it includes several suspension bridges, such as a 26-meter walkway and a 35-meter Tibetan bridge. The approach is about 10 minutes from the nearby parking lot.

How difficult is the Redován via ferrata?

The Redován via ferrata has two different sections: the K2 initiation and the K4/K5 sports section. This covers everyone from beginners to experienced ferratists.

How long does it take to complete the Redován via ferrata?

Section K2 is done in 2–2.5 hours. If you link K2 + K4/K5, calculate 4–5 hours of total activity, including approach and return.

Where do you park for the Redován via ferrata?

The official parking lot is next to the Redován sports center, Calle Miguel Hernández. From there the approach on foot is 10 minutes along a signposted path.

Do I need permission or a reservation to access?

Admission is free and without official quota, but on weekends there may be a crowd. But if you book with a guide, you will ensure material, insurance and avoid waiting. Hire one here.

What mandatory material should I bring?

Climbing harness, heat sink approved EN 958, helmet, anchor rope with safety carabiner and gloves. For section K4, a 30m rope is recommended for emergency rappelling.

Minimum age to do the Redován via ferrata?

Section K2: ≥6 years (supervised). K4/K5 section: ≥13 years old and good physical condition. Minors, always with parental consent and a qualified guide.

Is the via ferrata practicable all year round?

Yes, but in summer it is better to get up early: the wall receives direct sun from mid-morning. After heavy rain it may be temporarily closed; Check the municipal report.
